Once your job is posted, you can typically expect to start receiving applications within 24 to 48 hours. The speed at which applications come in may vary depending on the nature of the job and the requirements specified. We recommend waiting a week, if you can, before you start shortlisting applicants.

We qualify every lead before we publish it as a Lead Report on our jobs board. That means confirming the business is real, ready to hire, and that the work suits a VA or OBM. You’ll find a reliable space to find quality work, with the detail you need to decide if it’s for you.

Yes. Membership gives you the full Lead Reports, with everything you need to decide if a lead suits you and to put together a proposal. Previews of current and recently closed listings are free to browse, and so are our free resources and mailing list. You apply directly to the business, and we never take a commission.

Each Lead Report tells you how the business wants to be contacted and what they need to see. Most want a short proposal covering how you’d approach the work and what you’d charge. Some ask for examples of similar work. You send it directly to them, and they decide who to shortlist.

Not as a contractor. If you’re engaged on your own ABN, you set rates that account for unpaid time off, so leave is built into what you charge rather than paid on top. We occasionally list remote employment roles, and those come with standard employee entitlements. Each Lead Report says which arrangement is on offer.

Yes. Plenty of members joined before they had their first client. When a business asks for experience, they usually mean experience with the work itself, not years spent as a contractor, so skills you built in a previous role still count. Each Lead Report spells out what they’re looking for, so you can judge whether to pitch. Our free startup checklist is a good place to begin if you’re still setting up.
